Manhattan is growing at a rapid rate and using more water than ever! Data indicates that we have reached our predicted 20 year high consumption rate in 2017, a rate that was predicted for 2032. Please help our aquifer by conserving as much water as possible! Here are some tips to help Manhattan achieve this goal:

Town of Manhattan Snow Plow Plan
In Manhattan, the Montana Department of Transportation is responsible for plowing and maintaining Broadway Street through town to North Fifth Street and out to Dry Creek Road as well as Main Street East and West.
Manhattan Public Works Department updated and made some changes to the town snow removal plan to address future needs. The plan consists of plowing Primary Routes essential to public safety and community services first. Then, as time allows, Secondary Streets East/West are plowed to connect with the major streets in and out of town, streets North and South are plowed next.
Public Works crews generally start the plowing operations when snow levels are 6” or more and as early as possible. If it is snowing in the evening, the crew can anticipate starting by 6 am the following day. Plowing may occur on the weekend if it is deemed a snow emergency with 10” or more of snow.
